What I need to know about WATER

My water stinks….what must I do?

?Minor, musty smell:

If it is a minor, or low-level smell, you might be able to solve it with a TASTE & ODOR/ Post In-line carbon filter.

??Strong, rotten-egg smell:

Strong, rotten-egg odors in the raw water is usually the result of the decomposition of decaying underground organic deposits. As water is drawn to the surface, hydrogen sulfide gas can be released to the atmosphere.

Here you use a proper Complete Home Filter.

The presence of sulfur odor at only certain sinks in your home could mean that the source is somewhere in the drains, fixtures or pipes – and not the water. In this case, a simple disinfection or flushing procedure may be enough to remove the odors.

However, if you can detect the odor at every faucet, then the source is most likely the water itself. Here, a Complete Home Filter would be recommended. This systems can reduce bad odors and protect you and your family from other chemicals and microbial contaminants.

?Chlorine smell:

Municipalities use chlorine to eliminate bacteria in water. Unfortunately the residual chlorine ends up in your home which makes drinking the water very unpleasant and standing in a shower with chlorinated water is almost dangerous due to the chlorine that is being absorbed by your skin and the vapors being inhaled.

Here we use the Complete Home Filter again, but replace the Activated Carbon Filter with Siliphos, which will also “soften” your house water.
